United Women in Faith - Activities
Hello, fellow UWIF Ladies and Happy New Year!
Warm greetings from your Commonwealth East District Team. As your district team, we host two meetings each year. One in the fall and one in the spring. We will be meeting this month (January) to plan our 2022 schedule and I am asking all the units in the CE district if they have a specific topic that they would like to have for either meeting. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me.
There are exciting things planned for 2022 already. First, ASSEMBLY 2022 May 20-22, 2022 in Orlando FL. Here you can meet and worship with fellow UWIF from across the world. This is the time to TURN IT UP! Assembly offers seminars and meetings and worship and fellowship as you have never experienced it before. If you are interested in finding out more, please go to the UWIF website www.uwfaith.org. This year they are offering both in-person and virtual options; you can even change your choice from in-person to virtual if circumstances change.
Second, there is a new program that will be rolled out from the home office called New Wineskins. This program will be making changes and updates to the UWIF website and program. These changes are being made to offer a modern, updated, mission-based program to all women. Currently, our roster numbers are made up mainly of women over 60. With the proposed changes we hope to appeal to younger women whose goals of working in mission and helping women, children, and youth match our own. It is being called a re-branding. Watch for more information to come.
I also want to put a request in from the district team. We need a secretary on our team. Responsibilities include taking notes at all meetings and distributing them in a timely manner, assisting the President with the yearly booklet, and minor correspondence. If you would like to join our wonderful team, please contact me. I would be happy to answer any questions.
